Regarding the Pub Burger at Ford’s Filling Station

  • Hand-ground organic chuck: Nice, but how about some sirloin in there for added flavor?
  • Lettuce, tomatoes: If you’re going to place them on the side, don’t shred the lettuce—it makes it hard to DIY. Same with the tomatoes—give me nice slices, not tarted-up little pieces of Roma.
  • Carmelized onions, raw red onion and onion rings: That’s a lot of onion.
  • Onion rings instead of fries: A bold move, but I really would have preferred fries.
  • Positive notes: Cooked and seasoned pretty well, didn’t go too overboard with the blue cheese, good Arnold Palmer (and quick on the refills). Duck confit flatbread pizza was good too, charcuterie looked nice.
