Indie Rock Bakery is Laid Up
Riding a motorscooter in Los Angeles is not for the faint of heart. I was involved in a collision last night, me on my Vespa, the other party in an Xterra. First things first: I’m OK.
The Xterra made a U-turn in front of me, and though I did my best, I couldn’t avoid the collision. The bike is wrecked, and I’ve got stitches in my right knee and a fracture in my left foot. It’s likely that I’ll have a bit of surgery to have some small pins put in my foot to make sure the bones set up right. Obviously, I’ll have to take it easy for a while. I’m currenly lying low at the indie-rock parents’ house.
It’s a real drag to be sure, but on the whole I was lucky. Thanks to everyone for the concern and support.
